Beacon Court is set at the top of the historical town of Dartmouth. The house commands fine views over countryside and the River Dart. Steeped in tradition, Dartmouth is a delight to visit with many quality shops, restaurants and beautiful old inns. The port of Dartmouth is also home to the famous Britannia Royal Naval College. One of the first to join the Court Group, Beacon Court established itself as a residential care home in 1984.
Whilst not a traditionally purpose built care home the layout is exceptional in providing individual accommodation over four floors accessed by a passenger lift, with many bedrooms enjoying private balconies and breathtaking views of the River Dart and beyond.

The accommodation provides 24 single rooms and 5 twin rooms of which 23 have en-suite facilities. Cleverly organised lounges and dining areas fill the ground floor, the open plan style accommodates comfortable seating in very different environments ensuring that there is choice in personal comfort for everyone.
Beacon Court is in itself a community, the majority of people who choose this home do so for the social and intimate style that it offers its residents. Company is important to those who reside at Beacon and therefore few choose to stay in the comfort of their own rooms in favour of being a part of the friendly hustle and bustle that is at the heart of this delightful home. |

Beacon Court residents enjoy structured music therapy on a weekly basis. Our qualified teacher brings enthusiasm and love of music to our residents ensuring that the musical best is brought out in everyone involved. Where residents are too frail to join in, or whose mental capacity is limited, time is set aside to provide one to one sessions ensuring that everyone benefits from this wonderful therapy which is now widely recognised as hugely beneficial in Dementia care.
