St Benets Court Nursing Home is an elegant Victorian residence in the prestigious area of Wolborough Hill in Newton Abbot and is the groups’ only nursing home. The home is set in its own beautiful mature gardens alongside that of its sister home Wolborough Court. The home benefits from two level garden areas that are terraced and south facing with scented seating areas throughout and waterfall-fed ponds that provide a wonderful home for fish, frogs and lily pads that in turn creates plenty of birds and other wildlife to see.

The home has 31 bedrooms, with the majority of these being large with en-suite facilities and many have fabulous views across the surrounding countryside and our gardens. Our bathrooms and shower rooms are fully equipped to provide peaceful bathing with dignity in mind. There is wheelchair access to all parts of the garden and house and the home is equipped with two passenger lifts offering complete freedom. Daily activities are an important part of our residents’ day and they are designed to be both stimulating and therapeutic and to suit all abilities. |

The residents of both St Benets Court and Wolborough Court participate in many joint functions and activity sessions that are organized by the homes activity co-ordinator thus bringing a real feeling of community amongst the two homes. The activities organized are varied to suit the changing needs of the homes residents and can include a variety of games, quizzes, art work, music therapy, reminiscence, gentle chair based exercises and sensory activity using touch or feel. |
